MK Hockey League Rules
All penalties will be two-minute minors and served by the penalized player unless the penalized player is the
goaltender in which case the penalty will be served by a player on the ice at the time of the infraction. A four-minute minor penalty
can be called at the Referee’s discretion if he feels it was careless or intentional. Any penalty that the referee’s see as intent to
injure will result in an ejection from the game and will be looked at for further action.
Fighting has never been, nor will ever be tolerated in the MK Hockey League. If the officials record the offense as a fight, the player
or players in question will be automatically ejected from the game and the incident will be looked at for further action depending on
the referee’s call. If a player or players are ejected within the last five minutes of the third period, the suspension will be carried
over to the next week’s game and again be looked at for further action depending on the Referee’s call.
Unsportsmanlike conduct penalties (verbal abuse to Referee’s or Players, etc…) will be progressive per game. The ruling is up to the
referee’s discretion and the penalties listed below can be assigned. The penalty will not cost the team in being short-handed; it will
just take ice time away from the individual or individuals in question.
- 1st offense in the game – 2 minutes
- 2nd offence in the game – 5 minutes
- 3rd offence in the game – ejected from the game with possible further action, depending on the offense
NOTE: This is totally based on Referee’s discretion. The Referee's call is final and can not be overturned by the league.
